Gigaset N870

The Gigaset N870 can be setup on our portal. This system allows a user to make calls with a handset and move around in the covered areas. The customer will have to buy the appropriate number of base stations in order to cover the requested area.

Please follow the procedure below

1- Add a device and select DECT type. Choose Gigaset N870.

Note: You have to swap the role of one Gigaset base station to Integrator + DECT-Manager + Base. The MAC of that device is entered in the portal. 

2- Fill in the device nickname, the MAC address and the MAC suffix id (It is found on the box). Set the handset number to 1 if this is the first handset you want to configure.

3- Create the additional handsets by reintroducing the MAC address of the server and suffix id. The device nickname can be adapted to a relevant information. Modify the handset number to the next available slot.

Please follow this procedure in order to register the handsets to the Dect Manager

The provisioned accounts are located in the Mobile devices section of the GUI of the Dect Manager. Click on the edit button next to the device.

Use the default PIN or generate a new one and click on register now at the bottom of the page. On the handset go to registration and enter the PIN code.

Once the device is registered you should see the handset type in the Mobile device registered column.

Note:

We should perform a site survey prior to the offer and the installation. This allows to determine the best position for the base stations and the correct number of required base stations. The site survey should be summarized in a report. (including pictures where the antennas should be installed).

In order to master the other important topics like site survey, synchronization, etc.. you can register to a specific Gigaset DECT training at our premises.

Tip : When resetting the server to factory settings. The server asks if you want to do a backup before.
Tip : It is recommended to configure the synchronization before provisioning the server.
